Disappearance of green spaces

As shown in the photo's above the 'gardens' of Eastern Gardens have been systematically taken over and built on by businesses looking to exploit the public space for their own gain. Accelerating over the last few years to the point that what is left of the green space is being turned int a dust bowl from continuous commercial events.

In less than 60 years an unique area of beautiful beachside green space with ornate flower borders, walkways, Victorian sun shelters & grass tennis courts has been concreted over, built on and turned into a money making venue. Our aim is to prevent further destruction of Eastern Gardens with the long term goal of returning what we can back to it's former glory.
